I saw this lace curtain at my home and had a feeling that it could have been made into something better.  All I could think of was the beautiful lace dresses and skirts I see in Pinterest. I wanted to make one out of it. Unfortunately, I never had enough time to make.

DIY Waste to Haste attempt- Part 2

I have been making some amendments to my bad clothes collections lately. I don’t have the before picture of this outfit, but I can definitely tell you that my attempt was successful.  My sister had got this tunic for me 2 years back from one of her Bandra shopping haul. But then this tunic was so awfully shaped and so over sized that two people of my size could easily fit in.

Violet top with lace sleeves

This is another beautiful DIY top that I made from a dupatta. This dupatta was of thick georgette material and had lovely color. My mom had kept it aside to make a blouse out of it, but I made a top for myself as it was big enough to make 2 blouses.

How to restore a broken eyeshadow?

Hello friends, here I am with another DIY Blog. Today, I will be sharing my experience of fixing an all new but broken eyeshadow.

Few months back I got a beautiful golden eyeshadow from VOV. I just cannot explain the pleasure of getting a shade which I badly needed. But all my expectation was short lived when the eyeshadow broke in to pieces due mishandling. I was just so disappointed but didn’t have the heart to throw an all new broken eyeshadow.

Easy and budget light solution for oily Eyelids

I have very oily skin and hence no makeup stays on my face for more than 2 hours. After that I get shiny foreheads, nose and cheeks. It seems as though I had dabbed all the highlighter one has, which is pretty much not a good thing. I just hated to blot my face all the time I visit the washroom.

However, I found a solution to get rid of this oiliness. Every evening after coming back home I used to apply Multani mitti facepack mixed with rose water and few drops of lemon juice. Regular use of this pack or say almost daily use of this pack has reduced my skin’s oily texture. Nevertheless, it has managed to extend that 2 hours to 4-5 hours at the most. What more can you expect?

DIY Tip: Immediate relief from sun tans

Our skin gets tanned and is also exposed to a number of damages when we go out in the sun. The sun's UV radiation augments melanin production resulting into tanned skin. Regular application of Sun blocks and SPF lotions can very well offer some kind of shield to your skin from sun damage. There is no secured method to lighten the tanned skin cells, however, you can always enhance skin’s renewal process.
